Since basketball is the main sport at D. H. S., we are very interested in the Varsity team whose members are: Allan Walter, Wilson Magruder, Clarence Here Thompson, Eugene Cowboy King, George Kemp, Henry Ace Abrahams, Donald Griggs, Jack John Bell, Dallas Beall. Not shown: Leroy Lee Johnson, Bill Smoky Stover. Time keeper: Raymond Warfieldg Scorer: Wayne Watkins. The Hornets got off to a slow start this year but D. H. S. is proud of their sportsmanship and hard work. After settling down during the Christmas holidays, they came back to win their fourth game and later to enter the state tourna- m6IltS. YVith Henry Abrahams and Leroy Johnson leading the team in scoring, I'm looking forward to seeing Mr. Stipe, their coach, and the boys entering the state tournament.
