Donohue Here are the people who instruct the pupils to push me. D. H. S. students are mighty proud of their fine faculty. Although they may get tired of lessons, they appreciate the untiring efforts of their teachers to make better citizens ol them. A lot of harcl work was clone in preparation for the evaluation last year. To prove this ancl to tell you the results, I quote the words of their principal, Mr. Slacum: The faculty, stuclents, ancl many patrons ol' our school spent a great cleal of time and effort during 1952-1953 school year evaluating our school program. On March 24, 25, and fi, 1953 a committee of ten educators representing the Nliclclle States Associa- tion of tsolleges and Secondary Schools visited our school ancl exaluatecl our entire program and facilities. Dr. Ira R. Krayhill, lixecutixe Secretary of the Commission on Seconclary Schools, Pliilaclelphia. Pennsyltania, was chairman of the Yisiting Committee A written report of commenclations antl recommenclations, along with a set of graphs, was later sent the school for its usc- in future planning and continuous improvement. On january tl, 1951 oflicial notification was receisecl that D. H. S. had earned a place on the list of accreclilctcl schools ol the Nliclclle States ,Xssociation. Whether the teachers shake me at some student or use me to write out an assignment, it's sure that 1'ni always kept husy. 5? W. s': A Mr. Simpson just told a joke. Dicln't you get it, Miss Stephens?
