During the ET season the girls played 13 games and won 5. 5. The girls entered the Upper Montgomery County 5 Tournament. We lost the County Tournament to Gaithers- gg burg on the first night by a score of 2U-31. 1 The members of the squad were: Betty Moxley, xy- Geraldine Bosley, Ruth Brown, Shirley Linthicum, Evelyn S Day, Eleanor Barber, Betty Jean Mulllnix, Mary Emma f Johnson, Virginia Green, Rachel Green, Agnes Watkins, Q Peggy Metz, Sylvia Halleck, Norma Lee Lewis, Hazel , Burdette, Ruby Pearce, Dorothy Beall, Barbara Ann 5 Burdette, Joyce Shipley, Pauline Jarvis, and Mary Ann K Ward. E We also had a very good volleyball season. Damascus High School Boys are now State Champ ions of Class D in bnsketb ll all throughout the st te D H S compiled 1055 polnts or an average of H7 points per game The Hornets lost their three games to Westmlnster High 56 25, Clarksville 55 H9 and G ithersburg 21 19 The game with the with the score being 91 28 In this game Donlad Barber and Billy King scored 33 points apiece to take ton honors for the highest score in one game.
