I understand that Gladys has been mentioned as a candidate for Governor in the next election. Betty Jalinck has gradually workod up to the position of assistant pencil sharponcr for the social secretary to the President's wife, and hopes to achieve her ambition before she reaches the wheelchair stago. Naomi Thomas is still following, the sea, that is, she seems to bo deeply interested in the sea, although she has spent very little time sailing. Engelbert Gorlingor i3 in Mexico,and has just finished waging an unsuccessful war against the organized government. Dorothy Minnich is in the employ of a typewriter manufacturing concern, giving speed demonstrations throughout the county. Virginia Pennor is leading an aerial expedition to the South Pole to look for the remains of the famous Commander Byrd expedition of cuito a number of years ago. Perhaps you have read about Roberta Elliott swimming the English Channel last week and brooking all previous records. She received quite an ovation both hero and in Mew York on. her return. Robert Lc Eors is a prominent minister in New York,but he was in difficulty with the ciders last year when he was accused of playing the stock market. He must bo a wonderful minister, because he is the first one I ever heard of with money enough to do that. ° is indeed distressing to find that I am at the bottom of the list and must tell you that two of our most prominent classmates are in the toils of the law. Paul Bollman is being hold in ?.!ichigan for soiling incorrectly labeled patent medicines m nis medicine show,and Betty Harcombe is serving a sentence in a Most Virginia penitentiary for a series of blond flapper holdups. 1929 uBHHHft
