BASKIN, Principal Today as never before in the history of our country, you are faced with losing that for which our forefathers crossed uncharted seas and faced unknown dangers and hardships to secure for themselves and their posterity. There are forces at work that would deprive you of life, liberty and happiness by for- bidding you to worship as you please. You are forbidden to seek guidance and aid from the God of our Fathers as you train your minds to seek the truth. What is Truth? The Man of Galilee said, You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. And what is Truth? Again, hear Him say, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. May I ask then, how you can know the truth when the highest law of the land says you are forbidden to pray to God when your minds are being fashioned as they grow and mature in the school room. John McCrae, in his poem F1anders Field, says, To you from failing hands We throw the torch, Be yours to hold it high. Into your hands is thrown what is left of the torch of Truth. May you grasp it firmly, replenish the fagots from whence its light - sacrifice and a belief in the eternal God. Hold it high, march with it, cause it to glow that you and the generations to come may know the Truth, and keep our beloved land Free, I would have you believe, as I do, the Man of Galilee who said, You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. And again, I am the Way, the Truth and the Life,
