HERMAN PITTS—An excellent tackle in all respects, always play- ing heads-up football with the idea of winning. SUMMARY OF THE 1947 FOOTBALL SEASON I he 1947 football season was very successful for the Tigers. With nine returned lettermen. Coaches Foshee and Duffee, made a hard fighting team despite the injuries and the losing of several players. Of the nine games played, the Tigers won seven games, losing two. We congratulate the squad and Coaches for their fine showing.
