Business Education To make it to the top is what most of the people of to- day look forward to in life. To attain this goal they must devel- op such desirable characteristics and work habits as efficiency, courtesy, cooperation, honesty, neatness, accuracy, and the ability to follow instructions and to work with others - things that are stressed in the business de- partment. By using different techniques and initiating com- petition between students, teachers in the business depart- ment make the students want to try to be the best and gives them the hope of making it to the top. COPELAND The English Department has attempted to develop lan- guage learnings which work together for the student's gen- eral command of his native language, his language per- formance. Experiences with language in operation have been used; the student has been enabled to perceive himself as an organizer of new experiences as he moved into new roles, new situations, and new levels of human ex- perience.

The counselor in any school is a key person in seeing that each student has an opportunity to take the subjects best suited to him. Guidance at this point as well as looking forward to the future is very important. Music provides an opportunity for self-expression rarely found in academic subjects and this is cer- tainly encouraged by a sensitive band director. The music program provides a medium for discovering and developing talent and a chance for possible intensive study after high school. Specialties Libraries have changed from from a mere collection of books to become known as media centers. These centers are ex- pected to provide all the ma- terials necessary to meet the demands of the school curricu- lum and to provide pleasure reading. The school library program certainly reflects the philosophy of the school and en- riches all areas of its education- al program. MR. DON HAMMOND MR. BYRON V. BALL II Driver education is a popular curriculum offering because it is such a practical course.
