Busdrivers and Food Service Personnel Lines, lines, lines. At the ring of a bell stu- dents rush to get a place in line. Lunch lines al- ways seem endless. Be- hind these lines are the food service personnel planning, preparing, and serving our school lunches. It is the same rush at 3:30. Everyone hurries to get a seat on the bus. Amidst all the chaos that occurs on a school bus, the driver stays calm and collected. It is not in- frequent that he must act as a doctor or referee. BUSDRIVERS: Left to right: Mrs. Melba Castleberry, Mr. Claude Blevins, Mr. Porter Everette, Mr. J. C. Abercrombie, Mr. Ralph Blansit, Mr. David McCreary, Mr. Lincoln Baker, Mr. Henry Hooper.

Mr. Morrell Holcomb Mr. Roy Nichols Mr. Lee D. Ross Health and Physical Education It is important to develop not only the mind but also the body. The physical education department features various types of physical activities. The P.E. classes participate in calisthenics, tumbling, gymnastics, weight- lifting, and many different games. The health classes study techniques for developing and maintaining good health. Some of the projects of the classes have been planning a family menu and doing a paper on cancer. Each student also took part in a campaign to reveal to the students the dangers of cigarette smoking, by making posters to put in the halls. At left some students stop to look at one of the posters. 21
