The Senior Class of 1953 met and decided that since we were soon to be turned out into the cold, cruel world, we would leave all precious possessions and hard-earned titles in the hands of the trusted Juniors, who will be the next senior class. We drew up the following will: Andy Newby and Benny Gaddis leave their pesky ways in Mrs. Ersaline Carroll's history class to Gene McMahan and Ray Ryan. Janie Bradford leaves her title as first-string tackle on the basketball team to Doris Carver. Peggy Renfroeand CubieSteele leave their title of Romeo and Juliet of the senior class to Shirley Paine and Tommy Mitchum. Donald Gray and Benny Bradford will theirability to play hookey without getting caught to Ronald Everette. Lawrence Woodyard leaves his slightly-used Eisenhower button to Autumn Troxtel. Bernadine Moore, Jeanette Moore, and Imagene Pennington leave their engagement rings to Barbara Hatfield, Sarah Chambers, and Ruth Blevins because they have now reached the grand old age of 17.
