CLASS PROPHECY It is now the year 1961 and as I look about me, I won- der if this could possibly be the class of '51. I find that Joanna Massey and Grace Castleberry are nurses in the new Trenton Hospital. Margaret Kenimer is now singing in a musical comedy at the State Theatre in California. Franklin Baker is now Captain of Georgia football team. Hollywood, that land of wonder, has claimed Ninarae Keaton and Junior Wells. They have succeeded Blondie and Dagwood. Lacey Neal has decided that a Texas cowboy life is not his occupation and is now a famous Lookout Mountain Plow- boy. Kathleen Morrison is now an old maid school teacher in Arizona. Jack Murphy has just received an award for being A- merica's shortest man. After four years of practice on school desks, walls, tables and piano, Junior Williams has become a profes- sional carver. While passing through Trenton I stopped at Dade High School. I saw Janet Barnes as Principal's Secretary. The Principal is none other than John Ingram. Athene Holtzhower is a famous dress designer for Loveman's Fashion Shop. Mrs. Willis Christopher, the former Patsy Renfroe, has finally fulfilled her dreams of quadruplets. Omar and Marvin Bradford are mechanics on Lookout Mountain. I went into the court house in Trenton and to my sur- prise I saw Howard Daniel as Judge. Imogene Schurch has at last fulfilled her dreams to be- come ahousewife. She is running a boarding house atHead River Farms. The owner is Ray Stallings. 15

I rri n • m ir u The young warriors danced madly in a savage fashion, while in the huge council tepee the great squawsand chiefs ughed and grunted as their eader-in-waiting,(funning Woodall, announced the fate the thirty sDc wnjje menwho we re captured stealing knowledge from the great Chief's sacred tomb Dade High School. The Chief in- waiting arose and raised his hand for silence immediately the grunting stopped. The Chief spoke Eleven years ago we captured a heap of white people, who throughout the years have grown into tall men and women who would help their brothers fight against us and take our land and knowledge. Therefore the Great Chief Sitting Billue has decided that on May the 18 they must die! The thirty- six men and women were brought in and sentenced. The leader of the white men requested permission to leave their belongings to another group that has two years to go before their sentence is passed. They wrote the following will: Henry Kilgore leaves to anyone who wants them his old girls friends and the keys to his car provided they take good care of the car. Franklin Baker wills to Benny Bradford his ability to distinguish between apossum and apole cat. And to Kyle Broom all of his Cigarette butts. Marvin Bradford bequeaths to Donald Gray his used tooth picks he stole at the Busy Bee Cafe last fall. John Ingram wills to Lawerence Woodward every- thing he can't get in his car on graduation day and to C. M. Smith his Ford Convertible. Omar Bradford leaves his secret loves to Merrill Smyth and hope he has better luck than he has. Charles Hollingsworth wills his ability to study and to make good grades to Edward McClendon.
