CLASS PROPHECY It is now the year 1961 and as I look about me, I won- der if this could possibly be the class of '51. I find that Joanna Massey and Grace Castleberry are nurses in the new Trenton Hospital. Margaret Kenimer is now singing in a musical comedy at the State Theatre in California. Franklin Baker is now Captain of Georgia football team. Hollywood, that land of wonder, has claimed Ninarae Keaton and Junior Wells. They have succeeded Blondie and Dagwood. Lacey Neal has decided that a Texas cowboy life is not his occupation and is now a famous Lookout Mountain Plow- boy. Kathleen Morrison is now an old maid school teacher in Arizona. Jack Murphy has just received an award for being A- merica's shortest man. After four years of practice on school desks, walls, tables and piano, Junior Williams has become a profes- sional carver. While passing through Trenton I stopped at Dade High School. I saw Janet Barnes as Principal's Secretary. The Principal is none other than John Ingram. Athene Holtzhower is a famous dress designer for Loveman's Fashion Shop. Mrs. Willis Christopher, the former Patsy Renfroe, has finally fulfilled her dreams of quadruplets. Omar and Marvin Bradford are mechanics on Lookout Mountain. I went into the court house in Trenton and to my sur- prise I saw Howard Daniel as Judge. Imogene Schurch has at last fulfilled her dreams to be- come ahousewife. She is running a boarding house atHead River Farms. The owner is Ray Stallings. 15

CLASS HISTORY dous problem of entertaining our upperclassmen, the Sen- iors. However, theclass, which had only one new addition, Margaret Kenimer, set to work and we finished our Junior year in a blaze of glory, as our entertainment was pro- claimed a hit by everyone. During this year our first football team was organized and had a very successful year, with many of our Juniors taking part. Our Junior boys and girls were also active in basketball and all of our other sports. The girls were initiated into the F. H. A. Club and caused quite a commotion at school as we paraded in Chapel to show off our original costumes. We had the honor to have JanetBarnes on our school debating team and another Junior to enter in the Literary Contest. Our final year at Dade dawned bright and clear, and under the direction of a wonderful faculty and capable offi- cers and with our only other new member, Grace Castle- berry, we set to work. One of our biggest jobs this past year has been to publish our Annual, which we have done successfully under the capable leadership of Lacey Neal as Editor. We have been proud of our classmates who have made names for themselves in school sports, news and the Literary events. Our Seniors have been leaders in all activities and have proven themselves capable in under- taking all jobs. Jack Murphy was elected President of the Student Body by the students and successfully served as head of the Student Council. Bobby Fugatt also made a record which probably won't be broken or equalled in several years by scoring 116 points during the football season. And now, as our Senior year is fast dr awing to a close, that glorious event, graduation, that seemed so far away a short time ago is fast approaching. Class Night and the long walk up the aisle in cap and gown to receive our di- plomas will come and go as all the other happy events we have enjoyed together; and the class of '51 will pass into other fields of activity where we hope we shall bring new honors to dear old Dade High, to our Principal, Mr. J. C. Billue, and to all our teachers who have labored so un- tiringly to bring us to graduation. 14 Kathleen Morrison

CLASS PROPHECY Ruby Smith is now a Missionary in Egypt. Lauretta Morgan and Betty King are operating a new beauty shop in New England. Ronelle Ryan is now Chattanooga's Shoe Shine Boy. Louise Carver is now a Secretary at Interstate Life Insurance Co. Janet Cross is now teaching typing to all the Senior boys at Dade High. Henry Kilgore is still chasing the girls. Especially blondes. Jacque Greene is now an Opera Singer in Texas. She will quit the job and be married. At Wildwood I found Bobby Fuggat President of the New Hospital. Charles Hollingsworth has a job over station DHS play- ing the piano. I stopped at the Dade Theatre and much to my surprise I saw Ruth Paine and A. C. Durham starring in Two Days to Marry. Ruth Wallen is the Glee Club Director in the new Mor- ganville High School. Clara Dean has just received an award for being the world's best speaker. Cora Gass is now a nurse in Erlanger Hospital. Joyce Moore is now the President of the State F. H. A. Club. Dale Dover is now the world's greatest joker. I found to my surprise that all are still living and in a short period of ten years, each one had reached some height of success. Joyce Moore
