The group was organized in order to further familiarize students studying the language with the Customs and traditions of the German people. The Club is working to build a scholarship fund for students going on to study German in college.

A student desiring membership in Spanish Club must maintain a B average in his Spanish Class. Any student who has completed his study of Spanish and has been an active member of the Club in the past may remain as an honorary member. The Twirp Dance, a Christmas party, and a banquet as well as the annual initiation are sponsored by the group.
