Fofv Vctofuj The Young Republicans widen the political atmosphere of Everest by providing a better understanding of American government and the processes that make it succeed. Young Republicans support local, county, state, and national candidates by promoting the policies of their Party. Members do much of the necessary campaign footwork. Any student who wants a better understanding of his government and of political affairs is eligible to become a member of Young Republicans. Latin Club aims to create an interest in and an under- standing of the humanities through the study of the Latin language. Students who have taken one year of Latin are eligible for club membership. At Christmas time each year the group gives a basket of groceries to a needy family in the area. The highlight of the year is the Roman Banquet which serves, also as the initiation ceremony for new members.
