The Junior Band, under the direction of Mr. Baugh, is an organization of young musicians learning the basic fundamentals of good ensemble playing. Much time is spent on music for the Band-O-Rama, the highlight of their year. Students receive one semester of private or group instruction before enter- ing the music group. Fundamentals of music are stressed in the junior Band. 67

The Cadet Band also plays for some basketball games. To supplement their rehearsals, private or group lessons are also given to each member. Members are chosen in the spring by audition. The choir presents an annual Christmas concert at school and at the First American National Bank. In spring the chorus enters the concert and solo-ensemble contests. Selections are also presented at commen e- ment exercises.
