1' GRADUATION - 1965 D. C. Everest High School's 1965 gradu- ating class was the largest ever, with 215 seniors receiving diplomas. Commencement ceremonies were held on June 1, 1965, and included an invocation by the Reverend Glen Siferd of Highland Metho- dist church, and a commencement address by Dr. Glen Eye, chairman of the Department of Educational Administration at the Uni- versity of Wisconsin. After the address, di- plomas were presented and a benediction was given by the Reverend Earl P. Zimmer- man of Mt. Calvary Lutheran church. The D. C. Miniature King and Queen JUNIOR PROM Paradise of the Sea was the theme chosen by the 1965 Junior Class for their prom, held on April 21. Couples attend- ing enjoyed dancing from eight p.m. until midnight in an atmosphere of underwater fantasy of stariish, mossy plants, and other sea life. Sid Kyler's Orchestra pro- vided the music. The Junior Class chose as their reign- ing royalty King Robert Alexejun and Queen Judy Adams. Homecoming this year was the best that we l have had in a long time. The pep and enthusiasm that the students showed was tremendous. live always been excited during this week of many events. There is always so much school spirit, and it really makes you feel as though your school is the greatest. QWhich of course it is.J This year was a special Homecoming for me, made possible by you. Without the help of the student body, this homecoming would not have been possible. It was special because new and great ideas were brought forth. We broke away from the old traditional ways of running this week and started a brand-new trend. At the game our team had a stroke of bad luck, but through no fault of student backing. I know that next year, your spirit to support your team will be just as great, and next year YOU'LL WIN!
