Each girl has one or more auditions and must meet certain requirements to be a qualified member. The Christmas season is a strenuous part of the year, involving the girls in several concerts in the Schofield and Wausau areas. 64 The months of March, April and May consist of participation in contest, and com- munity appearances in conjunction with many school activities. With such a schedule, it is necessary that the girls sacrifice a great many of their Saturdays and their evenings to the hopeful success of the organization.
