TRACK The 1965 track team had 20 lettermen. Their success was probably due to the fact that they had a very well balanced team. It is not always necessary to come in first in every division. It is depth that really wins the trophies. Sometimes it is necessary to come in second, third, or even fifth to be able to complete the job. They had several outstanding players: Peterson, school records in discus and shotg Holt, one of the best middle distance runners in the areag Marotz, good 440 runner. Bob Peterson was the only Everest player to go to state.
