HARVEST CARNIVAL On the evening of October 13, the Everest gym was transformed into a carnival atmo- sphere for the annual Harvest Carnival. Home rooms sponsored innumerable games, deli- cious treats, and movies. A new attraction was a talent show featuring Everest stu- dents. The Harvest Carnival's evening en- tertainment was ended with a school dance. The Parent Teachers Association directs the student body in the organization of the event. The profits received this year will be used for scholarships and registration fees for students that attend clinics. Two more points in the m ing! X X - 5 , . ASSEMBLY PROGRAMS At various times throughout the school year, assembly programs are presented to the entire student body. On this page are shown two representative assembly programs. Our first example is that of Mr. Kenneth Goodman who presented a program of classical, semi- classical, and popular music on the organ. Next is David Liner who used a plastic ball to demonstrate how radioactive materials are found. This program was under the guidance of the Oak Ridge Institute of Nuclear Studies. The topics of the assembly programs varied from an Evangelist to musical produc- tions of varied kinds to scientiiicly based pro- grams. 103
