1042397 JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY We, stalwart Juniors glance reflectively back at the imprint we have branded on C.C.H.S. as timorous Freshmen we Joined the rolls with, Russel Berry, Miles Coleman, Kathryn Kidder, Wildra Walker, Carol Higgins, Mel Manning, Donald Sutcliffe, Forrest Johnson, Robert Guild, Donald Tesitor, Ronald Bate, Pat Eakins, Suzie Luthi, Lavada Claymen, Donald Hartbauer, Virgina Frye, Fern Stephens, Bernadette Stewart and Jerry Plquette, Offiers, for .the year were, President-Wildra Walker, Vice President- Donald Sutcliffe, Secretary-Bernadette Stewart, Treasurer- Mel Manning, Reporter- Suzie Luthi. Initiation was trying. More trying for the Seniors than us. We cinched that deal. They left that year. Instead of retreating the honorable Seniors of 1950 gave us a party, with food, too. As Frosh our assemblies were great--onlysang mslippin' Around' all during a half - hour session. Donald Tesitor dropped from the class membership when he entered the Abbey School in Canon City. Mrs. Frye sheoherded us through our Fresh year. Our Sophmore Officers of the class were Kathryn Kidder President, Carol Higgins, Vice President, Lavada Claymon Secretary, Suzie Luthl, Treasurer, and Fern Stephens, Reporter, during this 2nd year of high school we gained one and lost two, members. Jerry West became a member of the good ol' class while Donald Sutcliffe, and Virgina Frye dropped out. We gave the usal amount of assemblies on of which was quite successful, This was the minstrel we presented. After our first perform- ance at school we were asked to re enact it for the P. T. A. e Halloween Carnival. Mr. Manatos, our sponsor, was pleasingly, proud of our debut into the dramatics world. One of our social events was a picnic held at Lake Deweese. We also had a few KQUITE A FEWJ appointments in detention as well as receiving a verbal reprimands. Solid citizens, we,all together it was a great year. This year found us promoted to jrs. and we are missing some of our old timers, Jerry West, Fern Stephens, and Ronnie Bats, Russell Berry are not with us anymore. However Jams Ingersoll and Jack Hobby joined our class roll. Our Officers for the year are: Suzie Luthi, Pres. Bernadette Stewat, Vice Pres, Wllldra Walker, Sec.- and Pat Eakins Treasuer, Carol Higgins reporter: Miss Byer, sponsor and Mr. Amend is ce-sponson We all worked our fingers to the bone on the 'Jr. Work Daym and for several weeks we turned confectioner experts, made and sold candy. Our play 'We shook the family tree' has been presented and as we look back we almost wid it wasn't over with all the, troubles, work and fun that accompanied putting it on. KUndoubt edly Hollywood would like all seen our playl. Our main project now is Prom which we are all working and if all our plans work out far is a secret, but donlt be of us if some talent scouthad the Fine Jr. - Sr. Banquet and on. It is to be held in April it will be unusual. The theme so blue we've another year with you.
