1041397 Along about the end of the year we all enjoyed a party at De Weese Reservoir. All the gang being present, we proceeded to have a great time at square dancing and weiner roasting. At the Junior-Senior Prom the girls served the banquet for the Juniors. We wore dutch costumes to match the theme of dec- oration. During sum er vacation, we lost several classmates. Nancy Bennett moved to Denver, Kathryn Ryan moved to Cripple Creek and Ray Ryan being occupied with a good steady job did not return to school. we also lost Edward Bates. The biggest event of our Junior year was our play, 'Just Ducky . The cast was as follows: Hr. Maxwell, Harold Ankenmang Mrs. Maxwell, Helen Millard, Connie Maxwell, Ada Austlng Betty Lou Maxwell, Margie Eakins: Wilbur Maxwell, Albert Kidder, Bern- adine Smith, Sally Littrell: Hercules Nelson, Franklin Langston, Mr. Moore, Raymond Seyboldg Mr. Marshall, Robert Feldman: Gregg Moore, Robert DeGree: Aunt lary, largaret Comer: Miss Blayne, Odetta Knuth. Bertha Kattnig, Marlene Godwin and Betty Jennings provided entertainment between acts. Our class rings Canother Major Event! were recieved in Jan- uary. We then started to work on the Junior-Senior Prom, super- vised by Mrs. Neef and Mrs. Marley. Our theme was 'Moon Light and Roses . To end our Junior year, we had a picnic at the Oak Creek Picnic Grounds. Afterwards, a few people drove home through Canon City. At the start of our Senior year we had 23 pupils left. Of course we initiated the Freshmen and we might add, they were swell sports. The night after initiation we gave a party in honor of the Freshmen and a few weeks later we had another party to use our left over supply of party food. We plan on a Senior trip the first week in May. Baccalau- reate services will be held May 17th and following week will be taken up by Class Night and other activities. Graduation exercises will be held on the night of May 22nd. And though you have heard us gripe and groan for four years, we all know that the four years we spent here have been very happy years indeed. h . gy ix -X A v f
