1041397 cfadd ,9 0Pl'eCff One warm summer day on the moon, in the year 1970, our chief scientist, Thomas Paxton was busy at work viewing the planet Earth, through his telescope. As he focused it on the United States, his attention was drawn to an island off the coast of California. Here he found Major Robert James Baker in command of a large troop of Marines. As a scientist, our old friend Tom has invented a super- interplanetary radio. As he talks with Major Baker,. he learns that another one of our former buddies is also in the armed forces. It is none other than Russell Lee Koch, Com ander of the U. S. Air Force. Speaking of the Air Force, suddenly a jet plane comes into view. Curious as to whom the pilot is, Tom uses his radio to get contact, and to his surprise, he found it to be our old classmate, Joe Martinez. After conversing with Joe about old times, he spotted Mar- lene Godwin walking into the Home Ec. Department of Texas Tech. Within a short time he learned from her that she was now teach- ing there. Not so very far away, our scientific friend spotted another old pal, Harold Ankenman, who has set himself up in business, and is now a very successful Registered Hereford Rancher. On a ranch near by he found Ada Mae, who is now married to a big cattle rancher. In case he is needed, Robert Feldman, a successful vet, is always around. As the telescope is focused northward, Tom finds that Ray- mond Seybold is still working in a saw mill, this time his own, in Silver Cliff. Finding so many of his old friends still around, the scien- tist decides to take a little trip back to Earth. As soon as he reaches Westcliffe, he stops in at the towns largest beer joint, of which Paul Montgomery is now proprietor. While talking to Paul, the conductor of the train through Westcliffe, Robert De- Gree, comes in for a few minutes during a ten minute stop. He talks Tom into going on a train ride with him. Their first stop lain Denver where they meet another old classmate, Margie Eakins who is running the world's largest baby sitting corporation. From her they learn that Dorothy Collier is to appear at Fitz- simmons Hospital with a professional dancing troup. As they talked to her, they run into one of the head nurses there, Mar- garet Comer. As they continued their journey, they stopped offai:Golden. Here they discovered that the old Coors Brewery had changed own- ership, and was now in the hands of Wesley Colvin. Now our old friend returns to the moon, and again takes up his work at the telescope. This time he focused it on Chicago, where he found Frank 'Lucky' Langston, the owner of a used car lot. Lucky said he was doing real great, selling some of those old '52 Mode1s'. He suggested to Tom that he look in on Chet Koch and his team of professional basketball players in West Virginia. He thanked him for the suggestion, and moved on. After watching the boys practice for awhile and talkingto their coach,
