The members learn the fundamentals and finer points of the game under the direc- tion of Miss Martin and Miss Wong. The upper term club is for older girls who nnone, Joan Musinski, Felice Fischer, Marie Slomski, t, Laura Kennedy, Lois Garner. THIRD ROW: Joan Sandra Larsen, JoEIlen Pierce, Diana Rc-gr-nthal, you, Lorraine O'Neal, Judith Pickell, Carla Johnson, want to learn the game, play it, and improve their technique. Tournaments are held and the outstanding players can earn letters and awards., Competition is keen and a good time is had by all. It II KNEELING: Bonnie Kennedy, Gayle Pueschel, Carol Stepczuk, Jo Ellen Pierce, Judy Walsh, Laurel Tvedt, Merrilee Dick, Lynn Hansen. FIRST ROW: Karen Hartmann, Sharon Amon, Helen Galante, Alexis Crowdell, Dolores Indek, Miss Mather, Joan Talbot, Anita Sigel, Beverly Bandy, Eleanor Lynch, Fran Weingarten. SECOND ROW: Virginia Wright, Suzanne Seeley, Diedra Pueschel, Bonnie Briggior, Gloria Skeele, Anne Robertson, Deanne Furio, Judith Pickell, Judy Lower, Sarah Farber, Fredda Seidenbaum, Jenny Fasulo, Ulrike Moelders, Patrica MacConnelI. THIRD ROW: Carol Pedersen, Susan Johnsen, Sandra Larsen, Colette Wolfe, Carol Small, Felice Fischer, Dianne Cortelyou, Lorraine O'Neal, Janet Yorkston, Brenda Lahr, Kathy Walsh, Carol Silvestri. This year the girls' Badminton Club met weekly after the eighth period. Under the direction of Miss Mather, the faculty adviser, the girls, armed with shuttle- cocks, nets, and racquets, assembled in the gym to learn the skills of the game. After they had practiced several weeks and had done their best to perfect their tech- niques, a tournament was held. The winning team was given credit toward a Block C.

On Tuesday afternoons a multitude of girls garbed in gym suits gathers in the gym for the weekly sessions of the Volleyball Club. Teams consisting of eight or nine players compete in tournaments. The girls work hard trying to keep that ball from bouncing on their halt of the court! Every Tuesday after the eighth period a group of girls under the direction of Miss Y Ripley gathers in the swimming pool. There, adorned in stylish bathing creations of red L for beginners, blue for intermediate mermaids, and green for experts, each girl has fun as she works to try to win her silver pin. FIRST ROW: Carol Squier, Marie DePeppo, Marylyn Misawic, Carol Hunsdorfer, Sue Smiles, Ann Torretta, Helen Stampley, Susan Ann Smith. SECOND ROW: Sheila Biorge, Carolyn Ahlers, Mary Ellen Carroll, Lynne Schmeiser, Kathleen Skeele, Lynne Braisted, Kathy Fender, Carolyn Cherasky, Eileen Biery, Camille DiCIerico.
