.loan Brattli Merry Newman Betty Aberlin The Curtis Log of the 1958-1959 season has been a highly informa- tive, entertaining and stimulating publication printed for the students of Curtis High School. It has kept Curtisites informed of the latest oc- currences in all school events. Fea- ture stories made enjoyable reading and also gave students a chance to write creatively. The editorials and letters to the editor were aimed at f giving everyone food for thought, as well as presenting the views of I some of our leading school citizens. X lt takes many people working in l B. co-operation to create a successful XX newspaper. .loan Brattli serving as K editor-in-chief for the fall term was faithfully backed up by senior edi- tors Ethel Doudine, Merry Newman, Betty Aberlin, Donald Schneider and David Learned. Merry Newman served as leader of the group in the spring. This hardworking sixsome, with Miss Harron's invaluable guidance, have found their work most enjoyable and rewarding. The iunior editors served their apprenticeship this year and will take full charge next September. You may ask, who else works for the Log? It could not exist without the reporters, typists, cartoonists and photogra- phers who perform their indispensable duties. Also integral parts of the Log are the advertising and circulation departments. David Learned Ethel Doudine Donald Schneider THE

Elaine Keiser Tierney, James DePalma, Catherine Kacsur, Robert Keiser Mosaic for the past two years has served as the outlet for the student body's literary and artistic abilities. Under the able direction of Mr. Kessler Mosaic has become a fixed star in the constellation of fine Curtis publications From Monika Schlaegel's terrifying story showing the horrors of an atomic war to Bill Hudgins's amusing piece about a space bug, Curtis students have shown themselves equal to the task of producing both realistic and imaginative literature. We feel certain that in the coming years Mosaic will flourish and command the enthusiastic support which all Curtis activities receive. .Sf h I s .Q- X 3 ss 'rs X v 1 C f N If . 1 QV 8 9 it .4 ri! 2 Z fl! -1 Z 2 P 1 0 5 0 0 O T 0 P FH 2 1 .T .- N 5.
