Editor ' s Note: Each year the Senior class is granted the opportunity to dedicate their Senior yearbook to a member of the College community that best exemplifies the standards of consciousness, morality, fairness, good heartedness, and dedication to the College. Great deliberation was given to the matter this year, and from an excellent field of nominations emerged two very strong and capable administrators. The yearbook dedication committee felt that each was an easy and natural winner, and thus the committee saw fit to dedicate their yearbook to both of these Curryites, Mrs. LeBaron and Mr. Hastings. Both persons have served Curry well in a number of ways. The Class of 1978 wishes them well, and thanks them from the bottom of our hearts for the several ways they have helped us throughout our Curry duration. Mrs. Helen LeBaron Unfortunately most of us don ' t get to meet Mrs. LeBaron until our bills don ' t get paid on time and she calls us in to see her. We go slinking in there, only to find a women who is as helpful as time allows her to be. She ' s not one to waste time with us. She has no time to waste. She comes in early most every day, and is usually the last to leave . . . and she takes work home with her. She has run the Bursars Office for many years, with really little help. When you see her in the office she is always scampering about . . . she is so busy! A vital member of the Curry Community, she has finally been given some help with the addition of Mr. Marchi. But since Curry is ever growing, the work load will too, and she ' ll be as busy as ever. The Class of 1978 thanks her for her hard work and dedication to Curry College.

Mr. Ned Hastings When a crisis happened in 1977 and the students needed someone to talk to (during the great leadership turmoil), Ned Hastings stepped in, and filled the void. When the students cried for a voice in how the dorms were run, Ned Hastings stepped in to moderate an all College forum. When Dean Fred Kirschenmann resigned, an Acting Dean was needed, and Ned Hastings was a natural choice because of his knowledge, and overwhelming good sense. He has filled that position well enough that some would like to see him become the Dean, not the Acting Dean. Just another thing. Ned Hastings is the first person to be so honored m I this manner twice. His first time was the 1968 Curryer dedication. Perhaps Curry will be lucky enough to have him here still for another decade, for he is a great person, academically and socially. Maybe he ll get the dedication in 1988 tod ' He has shown fairness, especially to students. He has shown ability to handle problems. He has shown the students that yes students are the first concern of the College (but they can ' t have everything!) tudent life
