Under the guidance at Mrs. Jensen, the dedicated members of CHSS served at the speech contest sponsored by CHS and made arbors tor Homecoming. They are, hovvever, most remembered for their ser- vice at the faculty breakfast and the CSF banquet. In order to be a member, students must be accepted by the active members at CHSS and then must prove their willingness to serve by performing 50 hours at vvark. These 50 hours prove to be a time at enjoyment rather than Work, as was shown by the eagerness of the CHSS members.

As its name implies, its philosophy is interaction vvith those around them to promote international under- standing. Supplementing the Christmas food drive, the proceeds from the annual l-lootenanny helped to buy many of the meat products for the food loaskets. In April, the Interact Club planned to have a iazz Festival featuring Bill Munday, a local artist, and Vince Guaraldi. The money from this musicale vvill be used to help the needy.
