With the return of only three seniors the Eagles had a very good season with great help from the very fine talent of the juniors. The squad was built around Bill Law at catcher, Dennis Rider first base, Charlie Sheriff at second, Larry Breiner at third, jim Moyer at short, with outfielders consisting of Marlin Hensel, john Bare, and Walt Simmons. Alter- nating boys were Rodney Wairtl an tl Tim Murphy. Steve Duffle and john Bare were the winning pitchers. Bare led the team in batting averages with 349. The team had a seven and seven record which they won three games by one run and lost three games by one run. School C.V.
