CHEERLEADERS No athletic event, nor any other school activity for that matter, can be considered a success without the proper spirit. Cumberland Valley is fortunate in having an enthusiastic, cooperative cheering squad who's unfailing support of the teams, whether in victory or in defeat, sets an outstanding example for the rest of the school. This group of girls has worked untiringly under the leadership of Nancy Eshelman, their captain, to add spirit to the football games, basketball games, and wrestling matches. They have participated in many pep sessions as well as being a regular part of the marching band both at football games and parades. This type of school spirit makes true champions. 79 ROW l, lleft to Rightt: C Yinger, J. Johnson, J. Mullen ROW 2: M. Basehore, J. Basehore, ROW 3: C, Mc Dermatt.
