PHGTOGRAPHY CLUB The Photography Club of Cumberland Valley High School met every Monday in the science laboratory and the photographic darkroom. Var- ious phases of photographic work were discussed. A great deal of the club members' time was spent in the darkroom putting into practice the ideas that were learned in the discussion periods. One of the projects ot the club was to take pictures of and for the various organizations of the school, and then enlarge and develop the pictures for sale to the student body. We believe that the Photography Club of Cum- berland Valley High School is developing into one of the most active high school photography clubs that can be found anywhere. ROW l: Cleft to Righty G. SEVENTH GRADE SCIENCE CLUB This new club has been organized to aid its members to learn more about the many fields in science. Due to the usual varied interests of the members, no certain field of science is emphasized. During the year each member is required to work on a proiect of his own. Some examples of projects carried on by students are: caring for an aquarium or terrarium, the making of a collection of insects, doing experiments in chemistry, and electricity, and the use of the microscope in varied observations or studies. The only require- ment for membership is an interest in science. NINTH GRADE SCIENCE CLUB The Eighth and Ninth Grade Science Club meets every Tuesday in the Science Laboratory. During these meetings many demonstrations were performed by the instructor and the students on subiects ranging from air pressure to zoology. Many interesting and educational proiects were done by the club members. The-year's work was highlighted by a trip to the Franklin and Marshall Planetarium. NNN
