CLUB The SPQR Club actually encompasses all Latin students whose purpose is to promote the further study of Latin. This is clone by class work, book reports on Roman times, reports, derivative study, field trips, membership in the Junior Classical League. The Italian Club, a branch of the SPQR Club, is a small group which is learning Italian via the Lin- quaphone method. 51' ART ASSISTANTS The Senior Art Club does various projects during the year. Perhaps the largest project is the Christmas decorations. The club works with the advisor in changing bulletin boards, showcases, banquet place cards, as- sembly decorations, and various other things that arise. The club is made up of senior high students and alumni. The Junior Art Club has various proiects during the school term. The club consists of eighth and ninth grade students. The members are personally chosen by the art instructor. The Lettering Group is a small group of students from all grades, selected by the art instructor. STAGE CREW The Stage Crew is composed of eight selected boys from the sen- ior high school. lt is their respon- sibility to aid in staging the iunior and senior plays, and help in the production of all other plays, as- semblies, and commencement ex- ercises. Auditorium lighting is done completely by the Stage Crew. AUDIO VISUAL AIDS CLUB The Audio Visual Aids Club, un- der the patient and tolerant direc- tion of Mr. Birch, is responsible for the mechanical problems in C. V. This doesn't include such things as robots or other automatons. How- ever, the members of this club learn how to use, care for, and to repair the A-V equipment, which consist of the reel proiectors, tape recorder, and slide projectors.
