SENIOR TRI-HI-Y The senior Tri-Hi-Y Club is an organization under the sponsorship of the YMCA. Its main purpose is to create, maintain, and extend the home, school and community, high standards of Christian char- acter. Participation in a state-wide model United Nations program, leadership training camp at Gettysburg College, ushering at all school events, and a Christmas Assembly illustrate the variety of proiects in which these girls participate. 62 5 ,

JUNIOR LIBRARY CLUB The Junior High Library Club is composed of eighth and ninth grade students in- terested in learning more about the library. Each member spends at least one period a week as a library assistant. Members acquire skills in the use of the library, appre- ciation of the facilities offered by the library, and the ability to help fellow students in the use of the library. Among the proiects of this group are several attractive bib- liographies on various subjects found in the library, the displays on the bulletin board outside the library, and a scrap book of newspaper articles on CVHS. Social events include a Christmas party and a Spring picnic. SENIOR LIBRARY CLUB The Senior High Library Club is composed of tenth, eleventh, and twelfth grade students interested in promoting the use of the library. Each members serves as a library assistant at least one period a week. This period may be spent taking charge ot the Circulation desk, mending books, tiling cards in the card catalog, or performing various other library tasks. Principal concerns of this club are preparing displays for the large bulletin board in the library, arranging for the libray assemble, and peparing a dis- play for Book Week. It is an organization similar in scope and purpose to the Tri-Hi-Y for senior girls. Jr. Tri-Hi-Y is open to girls in the seventh, eighth, and ninth grades. It is a national club, affiliated with the Young Men's Christian Association. The club is based on Christianity and service. The club strives for the well rounded development of our girls through clean speech, clean sports, and clean thoughts. 63
