14' V-L., CULVER'S DINING IT IS N0 light task to feed eight hundred people on schedule three times a day, but the Mess Hall personnel works efficiently, thanks to Colonel Rossow. ROOM LOOKING around the spacious Mess Hall, Vi remarks, It must be a terrible responsibility, feeding all you grow- ing boys. 'AI suppose it is, Tom answers, Ubut we have the man who can do it, or just about anything else. He goes on to tell her about Colonel Rossow, whose career would make an exciting book in itself. As dietitian he has introduced many new and delicious meals, among them ravioli, shrimp, and country fried steak. There are other wonderful personalities associated with the Mess Hall, too, says Tom. as the couple walk down the steps. The Mess l-lall's Ground Floor DESPITE appearances to the contrary, Culver! Faculty rs really a cheerful group. They are especially happy In their new sound-proof lounge, where they can talk shop, watch television. and hold receptions and parties. and Vi step into the Canteen. I'd love one. Good, sit down here while I some tickets. AS THEY drink their cokes, Grendel tells Vi about the tensive work which has been done in the basement of Mess Hall. The Second Classmen have their clubroom up near the front, as you saw when we came in. Over there is the door to the Faculty Lounge. I've never been in there, but they say it's pretty nice. What do you call this room? asks Vi, looking around at the bowling alleys, pool tables, and soda fountain? This is the Canteen, one of the most popular places on Campus, as you can easily see.
