Here a few classes met, our musicians studied and practiced, and Major Williams guided budding artists, Across the way Colonel Mather and his staff labored with us over Chaucer, Milton, and Shakespeare. Facing the English Build- ing stands the structure in which Colonel Shanks and his mathematicians helped us to untangle our confused theorems and equations. A little beyond lies the Q. M. Store. I6

After the meal formations the underclassmen made their dash for the Canteen or the Second Class Clubroom, both of which are housed in the same building. As for us, we shall leave sedately by the southeast door under the clock. I8
