Then there were the all-important weekends when all the working out, run- ning, practicing, sparring, and sweating started to pay off. Companies clashed in the morning in basketball. Boxers put on their show in the afternoon. While the grapplers applied the tricks of their trade, the swimmers in the pool splashed to vic- tory. In the Little Gym the varsity basketball team competed with squads from the basketball-crazy neighboring towns of Indiana and with other worthy midwestern opponents. No, we haven't forgotten that semester tests also took place in the Rec Building. We would just rather not talk about them. Instead we shall reminisce on the infinitely more pleasant dances which we have enjoyed on these hardwood floors. 15
