It seemed to take a long time in passing. that week of work, but it prepared us all the better to make the most of our weekend when Friday arrived. No sooner did the hell ring to announce the end of C.Q.. than we pulled on our jaelxets. shouted our destination to the fellow with the C. sheets. and headed for Reason llall. .loining a group fresh from a Cordon meeting. we settled ourselves to a game of eanasta or bridge, depending upon the sehool of thought to whieh we adhered. But we seldom stayed long. There were many pleasures ealling us on Friday' night, and we soon tools off for the gy m. linroute. time being no objeet, we stopped off for a game of pool. Having with a gal- lant flourish sunk the eight-ball. we eontinued on our way. The pool. reverberating with the voiees and splashings ofsome of our friends. attraeted us Hrstg and in we dove. .Neross the way other fellows were playing basketball. Up in the Reereation Building a horde of eadets smashed at squash balls. ran on the traek. and volleyed tennis balls. Tired and relaxed, we got baek to liarraeks to listen to our room- mate's story' of the evening he had enjoyed at the home of a faeulty member. Friday' evening is a won- derful institution at Culver.
