ELECTIVES Mr. Taylor has been married to Jan Taylor for thirteen years. They have two daughters - Erin who is three, and Hanna who is five months. In his free time he enjoys camping, hiking, ping- pong, and listening to all kinds of music - except country and western. He also enjoys playing in the All-Conductors Orchestra. He holds a B.S. in music education from Auburn University and also a M.A. and A.A. from the University of North Alabama. He was band director at Brooks High School in Lauderdale County for seven years and at Hanceville High School for one year. This school year was special to him because he had the privilege to work with an outstanding group of Seniors in the band, and for the first time, he worked with fifth graders from East and West Elementary Schools in beginner band. He received a teaching certificate and a Master's of Arts degree in education from Eastern Michigan University. He has been married to Martha Kusz for twenty- six years. He has one son, Robert, who is twenty-two years old and is now attending Athens College. His daughter, Brenda, is twenty years old and attends Wallace College. Belinda, his younger daughter, is a sophomore here at Cullman. Mr. Kusz enjoys his position as Marketing Education Coordinator at CHS because it enables him to help vocational students bridge the gap between the classroom and the world of work.
