CLASS HISTORY As SCHOOL STARTED IN THE FALL OF 1945 THERE WERE SEVENTY-EIGHT FRESHMEN BOARDED THE TRAIN FOR SENI0RSHIPo MRS. ORA LlGHT WAS OUR CONDUCTOR. SOME OF THEM GOT OFF EARLY ON OUR JOURNEY FOR VARIOUS THINGS AND NEVER BOARDED IT AGAIN. WE FINISHED OUR FRESHMEN PART OF OUR JOURNEY WITH SEVENTY-TWO STILL ON BOARD. WHEN WE AS- SEMBLED again in September of 194 o there WERE FIFTY-ONE READY TO CONTINUE THEIR JOURNEY. WE PICKED UP SEVERAL PASSENGERS WHOM WE WERE PROUD TO HAVE. COACH AND Mrs. Bill Isbell were our conductors for THE JOURNEY OF OUR SOPHOMORE YEAR.SEVERAL GOT OFF THE TRAIN AT VARIOUS STOPS IN THE JOURNEY THAT YEAR. AFTER THREE MONTHS OF RESTING WE MET AGAIN IN THE AUTUMN OF 1947 MORE DETERMINED THAN EVER TO WORK TO REACH OUR GOAL OF SENIORSHIP. FoRTY-FOUR OF US MET WITH MRS. ALLENE GREGG AN0 Mr. Chalmer Light as conductors. As we ad- vanced ON OUR JOURNEY THE OBSTACLES BE- CAME HARDER AND SOME DROPPED OFF 8ECAUSE OF THESE. AT TIMES IT SEEMED AS IF WE CO UL D N T GO ANY FURTHER BUT WE ALWAYS HAD THE ENCOURAGEMENT FROM OUR CONDUCTORS TO oontinue. We soarded the train again in September 1948 more eager than ever to OONTINUE OUR JOURNEY. FORTY-ONE, SOME NEW PASSENGERS,MET WITH MRS. MAMIE GRUBBS AS OUR NEW CONDUCTOR. WE WERE SO EXCITED OVER THE THINGS WE WERE GOING TO DO AND REASONS THE TIME BUT MAJORITY. GAIN AT JOURNEYS. PLEASANT FOURTH AND FINAL JOURNET.
