The 1986 87 Cross Country Senior of four seniors our juniors and five sophomores These thirteen girls did extremely well during the NCA lNational Cheerleading Association! Camp held at Arkansas State University during the month of June The cheerleaders brought home four superior ribbons and a well deserved spirit stick Juli Hampton was chosen to be in the style show for the second year Juli was also honored by being chosen to compete for the All American Cheerleader ti tle. The squad was chosen to compete in the camp finals. Senior, Sonya White, served as captain, while three co- captains were elected to this larger than usual, Nolan organized. Missy Farrell was the sophomore capt., Juli Hampton, junior, and Shonta Futrell, senior capt. The cheerleaders worked under the supervision of Mrs. Rebecca Campbell, their sponsor. We are very proud ol our cheerleaders, they spend a tremendous amount of time and effort to insure that the spirit ol our school is kept high, and they do a greatjobl SENIOR HIGH CHEERLEADERS Pic. 1: Juli, Sonya, Missy, Lea Angel, Gina, and Melody smile for the camera while cheering at McCrory. R Last year the Booster Club hadafaculty and ad- T ministration basketball game. It was very suc- cessful and we'd like to thank all of those who participated. The Athletic Boosters work very hard trying to earngenough money to see to it that our athletes have what they need to become great athletes. This year the Boosters raised money to buy a video camera and VCR to record all athletic events. They also put carpet in the girls' dressing room in the gym. o raise money for these proiects, the Boosters had many projec s. This year as in years past, the Booster Club was in charge of getting the football program together. John and Joan Hampton worked very hard in getting. the program organized and the! did a great job! S elia Phipps also did a great jo filming games. The entire Booster Club did a fan- tastic jo ot supporting all of the athletic events. The Junior High Cheerleading squad for this year consisted of one freshman, five eighth graders, and for the first time, two seventh graders. All but one of the girls, captain Michelle Keeton, were in their first ylear of cheerleading. evertheless, they learn- ed quickly and competed with much more ex- perienced squads at camp. They brought home four superior ribbons and the spirit stick. Michelle Keeton'did a great job as Captain, Christie Crawford helped out by being the co-capt. Mrs. Rebecca Campbell served as the squad's sponsor. 81
