DISTRICT CHAIVIPS! 0, I 11'-I , 3 3 ,r . 5 J in ' ' f f - ,M . I I 'N '2 fm.. ,M ID I he Senior girls' team was as successful as everyone thought they would be. A team of mostly juniors, the girls have been through a lot of wins and losses and much hard work since they started their careers in the seventh grade. The team began their year with the Tri- County tournament at Lepan- to. They battled hard but lost to East Poinsett County in the first round. Then the con- ference games began. The girls proved they could work together as they pulled through and for the second year in a row, won the round- robin conference title. Next year's team of mostly seniors should prove to be the best yet as the girls will have the most experience in the COflf6l'6l1C8. CONGRATULATIONS - AGAIN!! 1 - Rebound No. 12, Kaye Karnes will attempt to get the of- fensive rebound over a nice size Jaguar. 2 - No need to rebound No. 12, Kay Karnes will shott, and no. 13, Angy Lockley, is set up to re- bound. However, the shot went in! 3 - All alone No. 22, Jerrie Grady, is all alone and puts the ball up for an easy two points. 4 - Hurry No. 12, Kay Karnes, is in a hurry to drive to the basket and get two before the Jaguar fouls her. 5 - Determined No. 35, Juli Hampton, is determined to get two points here as she has scooted by a Jaguar and is about to score. 6 - Stance Angy Lockley, center, shows good rebounding stance. 1 - No need to lump No. 13, Angy Lockley, shows no need to jump - she's unguarded and the baseline is a good place for her to be. She scores an easy two points! 73
