SENIOR HIGH FOOTBALL '86-'87 he 1986 edition of Thunder- rd football was not one of district ld state championships, but it was edition which accomplished many als. Playing team ball and having a fnning season were the main objec- les of the players. Ending the iason 6 and 4 provided a winning iason that didn't come easy. Scores lmost all games won or lost were pse and provided fans with some iciting times. Team play was evidem :everyone that watched a game. iAlthough there were no superstars i this team, some did show up or tine above others and six made the' tA all-district team: Walter Hill, Bryant Taylor, Anthony Maggitt, Larry Lee, Daniel lmboden, and Brock Meeler. Anthony Maggitt was also noticed statewide for his abilities to run the veer and pass by being nam- ed ALL-STATE quarterback. Walter Hill was honored as a solid player on the Best Under The Sun team as a linebacker. Bryant Taylgr was named to the National Educational Associa- tion's All-American Academic team. Bryant, the Valedictorian of the 1987 senior class with a perfect 4.0 GPA, was a three year starter for the Thunderbirds. 5 BELOW: No. 46, Walter Hill, is finally brought down by the two Bolton defenders after picking up big yar- dage.
