OFFICERS The Band Officers are selected from the Senior Marching and Concert Bands. They assisted this year with jobs needed to be done before school started such as lining the practice field, filing and distributing music. During school they attended Band Booster meetings, helped with the concession stands, helped plan a hamburger sup- per for the band and helped with the Band Banquet. They and Mrs. McClure are very thankful for all the hard work the Band Boosters put in with the con- cession stands, fund raisers, chaperon- ing, and other tasks that helped to sup- port all the bands and Senior Band especially. JUNIOB BAND The Junior Band .is made up of band students in the eighth and ninth grades Some of the Junior Band members ar ticipated in Junior Clinic tryouts, golo and Ensemble, and Sixth Grade Graduation. Some of the students also were able to participate with the con cert band during Concert Festival and Spring Concert. Members of the Junior Band are: Front Row L to R: P. Turner, M. Smith, K. Cook, L. Mc Clure, Director, T. McCommon, K. Willis, E Karnes. Back Row, L to R: L. Cansler, D Pierce, J. Dudley. BEGINNING BAND The Beginning Band has done more this year than in the past. They played a Christmas concert, Spring concert, and Sixth Grade Graduation. Also the members of this group attended the Region IX Solo and Ensemble Competi- tion. Jennings, P. Mays, C. Smith, M. Scott, J. Bourgeois, T. McCommon, S. Russell, E. Chase, Y. Murai, C. Rynone, K. Willis, J. Brecheen, W. Buchanan, Fl. Cochrell, D. Clements, K. Cook, E. Karnes, D. Frank, M. Eppes, L. McClure, L. Clark, E. Milam, H. Wood. The Senior Band is divided into two performing groups: T-Bird Marching Band and Senior Concert Band. . This year the band went to three com- petitions as well as home games and some away games. The competitions at- tended were in Paragould, West Mem- phis, AR. and Hernando, MS. The band brought home a total of three special cer- tificates, a first place plaque, four trophies, and a second place ribbon. Concert Band started with a Sunday afternoon Christmas concert.
