FHA - A VERY ACTIVE GROUP he FHA iFuture Homemakers of Americaj has been very active, both in I school and out this year. They were active in l attending three FHA Sub-District meetings. The first meeting the girls attended was in West Memphis and its purpose was to plan the year's activities. The second meeting was in Forrest City and officers were elected. The third meeting the FHA attended was the annual sub-district meeting at Marianna. Three girls were in competition at this meeting. Of those three, Carla Phipps was selected to compete in the State FHA meeting in Little Flock during the month of March. In October, the FHA once again sponsored the annual T-Bird Beauty Revue. This activity teaches the members I organization, responsibility, and it prepares them to be good leaders. , In March, the girls began to use their 'f knowledge-learned as they put on the FHA Banquet, for their mothers. The FHA members bring salads and dessens while the Chapter supplies the rest. The members are very involved in the entertainment as they put on a Fashion Show ol garments which they have made throughout the year. After this, they surprise and entertain everyone present with their talent numbers or skits. The banquet is ended with the installation of new officers for the upcoming year. I FHA can supply all members with good leadership as they take part and get involved in all programs. They encourage students to join.
