Though they did well as individuals, the wrestling team lacked sufficient men to defeat many opponents in dual matches. High point men were Willie and Fred Lyles. Henzy Green and Wally Tyler were outstanding freshmen. The two seniors, Lyles and Sheldon Yates, plan to continue wrestl- ing in college. Green, Tyler, Sam Hawkins, Steve Shepherd, Marcus Duckett, Bob Clemens and Fred Lyles plan to wrestle again next year. At Hinkle the Tigers eliminated North Central, but saw the taste of victory turned sour by Speedway's Sparkplugs on a crucial call that will be remembered.
