"Harbor Lights" was sung by Juanita Hayes and Mabel Selzer and Albert Hulsapple did a waltz clog. Marguerite Baar and Lyle Hulsapple did tap dances while Marjorie Matthews accompanied them on the piano. Dressed in an attractive pair of shorts, Pauline Wilcox did a skipfrope tap dance. Barkers for the occasion were Larry Reed, Bob Vachon, Maryellen Mayo, Bob Gezon, and Lloyd Calkins. Following their usual custom the Junior Class will turn over the money made from the Junior Revue and not used for the Prom to some worthwhile project in the school. This year approximately S60 will be donated to the Athletic Association as a beginning of a fund to purchase sidefline coats or parkas. L'The class feels that in the continuance of night football that these parkas are a very necessary part of the team's equipment," stated Jay J. Rens. Plans for the JuniorfSenior Party, held May 21, began to take shape under the direction of the members of the Junior Class. To make plans for the coming event, Lillian Church headed the decoration committee while Douglas Gleason was appointed to select the orchestra. The program was arranged by Martina Verwys and entertainment was to be selected by Norma Niehaus. As the partyfgoers passed through the archway, cards containing numbers from one to three were handed to them. As those figures were called, the groups separately passed to the cafeteria where the food was served. Fruit ice cream and angel food cake constituted the ref freshments in the cafeteria. Wearing sport dresses and small, dainty aprons, girls from the class of "4O" served the Heats." "Sweethearts" from Victor Herbert's "Maytime" and 'iMy Home in the West" were rendered by John Palmer. Two novelty tap dances by Lyle Hulsapple were heartily approved by those attending the party. Lyle was a great help in teaching the dancers for the Revue. Students vying for honors as class officers included Clifford Dayton, Emerson McCarty, Douglas Clay, Douglas Gleason, and Paul Bergeron, candidates for president. Mary Baker, Arlene Damon, Mildred Hoffman, Eileen Toenjes, Helen Kolderman, Florence Kahler, Jay Ter Molen, and Laurence Reed vied for the office of vicefpresident. Those running for secretary were Lillian Church, Elizabeth Sim' mons, Rosemary Glutting, Helen Nyland, and Natalie Blackburn, while Bill Coles, Gordon Butterfield, Bill Carew, and Gerald Tillyer were up for treasurer. Assisting on the decoration committee were Joyce Bartholic, Paul Bergeron, Natalie Blackburn, Helen Bruce, Adrianna German, Marianne Ghysels, Ruth Grit, Jake Jeltma, Ivan Johnson, Anna Joppe, Florence Kahler, Rich' ard Landauer, Geralding Lenderink, Robert Longfield, Kenneth Main, Marjorie Mathews, James Plank, Mabel Selzer, May Jean Smith, Nelly Voshol, Katherine Vriesma, and Lois Weaver. , Rod Den Herder, Maryellen Mayo, and Pauline Wilcox helped to select the orchestra while Bill Armantrout, Julia Doornbos, Hazel Farr, and Mary Jane Weber assisted Ann Jane Van Eck in planning games for the party. After passing through a "welcome" archway decorated in dubonnet and blue, the senior class colors, students en' tered into the main room to be greeted by playful sparkles from a ballflike mirrored reflector. A false ceiling of yellow, blue, green, and pink paper added color to the occasion. The decorations were under the supervision of Bruce A. Smith, hired for this purpose. "A stitch in time saves nine" but in this case it was the Junior Revue.
