HRIVING aside from all the rest, and yet a part of the great pine family
Night School conducted separately from the general curriculum of day school
is yet a part of the great institution of learning.
"The Yellow Shadow," a threefact comedyfmystery, was presented March 18 by
the Night School Dramatics Class under the direction of Mr. Haitema
Two performances were given, one in the afternoon for students and the other
in the evening for the public.

The Student Council
HE king of trees is the pine-tall, straight, commanding, an inspiration to man'
kind, and the leader in the forest.
Although the Student Council is yet a young organization, it has already become
an important one. Like the pine tree, the Council may be looked up to with respect.
Its purpose is to promote the general welfare of the school through an organizaf
tion representing both students and faculty. There are six committees in the
Council, each of which has some definite work to accomplish
During the past year the monitor system has proved to be a subject for debate
among students and faculty. Through the untiring efforts of the Building and
Grounds Committee, street cars now stop at Oswald Street. This is very convenient
for some of the teachers.
The Student Council has accomplished so much in the past year that it is well
justified in being termed the leader of school organizations and activities.
