Work Hard

Special
Honors
The best vocalists and instrumentalists from certain individual schools compete in the
All-State Music Concert. CHS participants this year were back row: Rocky Fowler, Mary
Jo Martin, Pat Grinnell, and Andy Hoskinson. Front row: Phil Cunningham, Kathy Brother-
ton, Mark Reed, and jere Francis.
This year Kathy Brotherton received the Arion
Award. This Award is given to the most outstanding
musician in the CHS band.
Those receiving Division I ratings in the annual state music con-
test were: three flute soloists, a clarinet soloist, two French horn
soloists, one alto sax soloist, two flute trios, a clarinet trio, a
woodwind trio, a sax quartet, a trombone quartet, a brass sextet,
and four vocal soloists. Kathy Brotherton received a I+ rating on
her flute solo.

boyfriends who are jealous of Conrad's populari
ty.
The performers seem tense in the moments before the Ed Sulli-
van Show in which Conrad is to bestow his last
