The prlng athletlcs were taken up as early as posslble and wxth great enthuslasm this
year Both the track and baseball whenex er taken up have proven to be a success The
Baseball team has about 20 men out for posxtlons and lt IS easy to puck out a good team
lqhere are a large number of the players that were on the team last year and they are
showmg up ln better form Then the new players will fill up the gaps m the lineup ln
great shape and vuth ease The track was httle thought of untll last year we sent a few
representatlves at the Fl arklo meet The boys took deep Interest m this form of athletics
and are going out ln good shape Some of the boys practlce m the morning and others ln
the evenings and lt IS hard to hnd out ww hat we hate but It IS thought that me can send a few
candrdates to the different meets thls sprmg The track should be ln C H S because It
keeps the boys m better shape for the Foot Ball which IS the mam sport rn our Hlgh School
and rt IS hoped that the track wull nexer drop the ranks of the C H S
