Jean Boor stepped up to the counter in a music
store. Bill Knepp, the new clerk, turned to wait on
her. In her sweetest and most appealing tones she
asked, "Have you 'Kissed Me in the Moonlight'?"
"No, ma'am," said Bill in confusion, as his face
reddened. "It-it must have been the man at the
other counter. I've been here only a week, and don't
remember ever seeing you before."
Mr. Kinney: "What could be more sad than a man
without a country?"
Zella S.: "A country without a man."
