p 1:-1g -.flwi ras Reggae? if ophomore Class Histor After passing through the process of entering High School and overlooking the slanderous remarks of our upper classmen, we became very important members of the Solar System in C.H.S. We discovered our Sun, Miss Studerq Saturn, james Patterson: jupiter, Robert Thompson: Neptune, Betty Myers: and Uranus, Russell Schmollinger. The two brightest spots of the year were Friday, September ll, when we got a glimpse of Mercury at a party at Fulton's. A week later we found a perfect Venus in Peake's Woods. We were aided greatly by the other planets. Mars gave the opportunity to Charles Arnold, Harry Zimmerman, Grant Ditch, Glenn Sonnedecker, Wayne Orr, Homer Miller, and Harold Henry to Gght the opposing basketball teams. Charles Arnold and Margaret Ecker attended all meetings of the Athletic Association. Arnold, Zimmerman, Ditch, Miller, and Henry came forth to answer the call of Baseball, too. When Harry Zimmerman won the foulfshooting contest, he expanded almost sufficiently to spit in Sun Studer's face. The constellations helped quite a little too. The Twins offered musical talents to james Pat- terson, Isabelle Buchanan, Margaret Ecker, Glen Sonnedecker, Christopher Cameron, Homer Miller, Charles Woodward, and Leonard Showalter And did they make use of them? Taurus saw that Homer Miller and Marjorie Wright simply must argue so gave them the honor of becoming debaters. During the year the huge airship, Rittman High, left with us Harold and Robert Thompson A shooting star, Emerson Metsker, shot in from the vicinity of Canton, and Lena Buchanan rocketcd over from Wooster. Life was dull during the eclipse of the moon. After two days of fear and work, life began to move on normally once more and soon those terrible midfyear exams were forgotten. We all survived the moon's rainygperiod, although the nrst attacks of spring fever looked like they might prove fatal. Soon we faced a total eclipse of the sun.
