Aside from giving seniors a chance to ditch school for the day, Senior Prom provided the perfect atmosphere to dress up and let loose. Popular rituals students involved themselves with included arriving in limousines and making elaborate plans to spend the entire night out. According to senior Jennifer Berbaum, The best part of the night was not having to be home until the next morning. On May 20, the prom was held at the beautiful Hyatt Regency in Long Beach. Throngs of students decked out in tuxedos and elegant dresses revelled in the spirit of the dance. Pictures were taken, dinners were eaten, and everyone hit the dance floor as The Time of My Life proved to be a smashing success. t'l've looked forward to the prom for a long time and l will probably remember it even longer, commented senior Ann Martin. The night was finally capped off as Jeri Jamriska and Travis Neale were named Senior Prom Queen and King.
