Mr. Byrnes MR. CLAPPER The class of 1960 has had the opportunity of assisting in the establishment of a great many outstanding traditions and policies at Crawford. These traditions and policies will always stand for leadership, good spirit, scholarship and friendliness. ln three short years the reputation of Craw- ford High School has grown to a highly re- spected level. Your school has grown from The new high school out on the Blvd. to Crawford High School, one of the finest schools in San Diego. You, the class of l96O, can feel that you are part of the fine reputation that your school stands for. You have helped build these traditions and poli- cies and your leadership will help guide future Crawford graduates to attain the high stand- ards you have established. We thank you for your unselfish part in establishing these traditions and wish each of you continued success in your future. C. J. Clapper Vice Principal MR. BYRNES You, the members of the Class of l960, can be proud of your accomplishments at Crawford High School. lt has given me a great deal of satisfaction to observe your growth in scholarship and citizenship as well as in school and class government. By all available measurements, your years at Craw- ford have been successful. The ultimate measure of the success of both faculty and students is yet to come. How well you apply the knowledge, skills and attitudes you learned at Crawford, in the years ahead, will be of great importance to you. Individ- ually, you will now have more opportunities for personal achievements in your studies, in your work, and in your hobbies. At the same time, you will have opportunities for unselfish contributions to your family, your friends, your community, and your government. Working with you and participating in your activities has been a source of genuine pleas- ure. lt is with justified optimism that l look forward to learning of your future successes. Joseph H. Byrnes Vice Principal Mr. Clapper
